NEIHEISER ARGYROS

Alexandra Road House

How to economically and intelligently update a typical terrace house in north London to maximize interior space and radically reduce the carbon footprint and energy consumption? This project offers a manifesto for the future of housing in London, a city dominated by endless rows of Victorian-era terraced houses in dire need of renovation to meet necessary energy requirements. The primary strategies are to insulate, to reuse, to recycle, and to surgically insert the minimum number of new elements in order to maximize performance throughout.
