NEIHEISER ARGYROS

Play Frame

Play Frame is a linear sculptural playground that actively encourages play across all ages. We propose the creation of a simple steel frame into which a variety of surreal objects (both playful and practical) can be added and changed over time. These could include swings, tables, benches, slides, monkey bars, seesaws, etc. The varied colors and shapes of these objects will combine to create a largescale interactive “play sculpture” that animates the streetscape while also providing a new social hub for the local community. In this way the project proposes a combination of aesthetics, functionality, and interactive play to reinvigorate an important but underperforming public space.
